What we are looking for

We’re looking for a part-time (0.4 - 0.6 FTE) Children's Pastor to start as soon as possible.

 

The Children's Pastor will oversee New Life Kids; our ministry to primary school aged children including our mid-week and Sunday morning programs. Our mid-week program has a team of 8-10 volunteer leaders and is attended by 45-55 primary school students each week. Most of these students attend Fremantle Christian College and come from a range of backgrounds (socio-economic, religious etc.). Our Sunday morning program is divided into Kindy to Year 2, and Years 3-6. Each age group has four teams of 2-3 volunteers leading 10-15 children each week (25-30 children altogether). This role will ensure that our programs align with the church’s mission to make disciple makers.

 

The successful applicant will:

• Demonstrate a lifestyle anchored in prayer and the knowledge of God’s word. This would include a minimum participation of 2 hours per week in NLC’s Prayer Room.

• Prior experience in Children’s Ministry

• A team player: part of the Pastoral Team and lead the New Life Kids teams.

• A passion for the discipleship of children and young families. To see them grow in their faith together

• Understand and be able to engage parents as vital partners in their children's spiritual growth..

• Capable of teaching and equipping children in both large group settings and smaller gatherings.

• Exhibits a positive work ethic and is a good communicator.

• Biblical studies qualifications desirable
