OUR STORY SO FAR
New Life Church (NLC) is part of the church in Fremantle, and was born in September 1997. Wayne and Julie Hollett originally planted NLC with the name “New Life Christian Community” with a desire to see every person in Fremantle transformed by Jesus Christ and to see the city marked by passion for God and compassion for people.
NLC began in a living room with 8 families (15 adults and 12 children). Since December 2016 we have been gathering each Sunday at our school, Fremantle Christian College. Our Prayer Room, the heart of our community, began in 2005 and has been a place of encounter and transformation as we have prioritized worship, intercession and scripture using a musical prayer model. Wayne is a core leader in the Fremantle Pastors Network, which represents local churches working together for the good of the city. Julie is the Chair of our school council and is deeply involved in the development and growth of Fremantle Christian College, a key ministry of NLC. Another key ministry of NLC is the Jubilee Welfare Fund which offers hope and support to those in need.
In November 2019, NLC began transitioning our Prayer Room and offices out of our long term home on South Terrace. In August 2020 we relocated to our newly renovated venue at 8/54 Rockingham Road in Hamilton Hill.
WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe that the Bible is the word of God and is the trustworthy authority concerning God’s character and purposes.

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God and Lord of all; he came to the earth as fully God and fully man, he lived a life of perfect submission to God the Father, he died and was physically resurrected, and will return to the earth again.

We believe that in accepting the sacrifice of Jesus’ death, our sins are forgiven and we can enjoy a restored relationship with God and experience eternal life.
​
We believe that a life lived through Christ is the only way that people can truly thrive according to their design and purpose as the beloved creation of God.
