What we are looking for

We’re seeking a part-time (0.4 - 0.6 FTE) Youth Pastor to start as soon as possible.

The Youth Pastor will lead our vibrant youth ministry, overseeing the Friday night youth program for approximately 50 high school students (Years 7–12). This role includes preaching, organizing events, leading a team of volunteers, and overseeing our paid Youth Workers who connect students at Fremantle Christian College to local churches. The Youth Pastor will collaborate with the Next Generation Pastor ensuring our programs align with the church’s mission to make disciple makers.

 

The successful applicant will:

• Demonstrate a lifestyle anchored in prayer and the knowledge of God’s word, including a minimum participation of 2 hours per week in NLC’s Prayer Room.

• Have prior experience in youth ministry, ideally with high school students.

• Be a team player, working within the Pastoral Team and leading the youth team and Youth Workers.

• Show a passion for the discipleship of high school students, fostering their spiritual growth and leadership development.

• Engage parents and the school community as vital partners in students’ faith journeys.

• Be capable of preaching, teaching, and equipping youth in both large group settings (e.g., Friday night program) and smaller gatherings.

• Exhibit a positive work ethic and strong communication skills.

• Hold biblical studies qualifications (desirable).
