Biblical Festivals

God’s Rehearsals for God’s people
to participate in God’s Story centred on God’s Son
restoring God’s creation for God’s glory.
- New Life Church

Just as Anzac Day is a culture-shaping holiday for Australia and New Zealand, the festival days that God gave to his people thousands of years ago are culture-shaping days of reflection and celebration. God has chosen particular seasons to reveal particular aspects of His Story to His people.

New Life Church gives particular focus to the Biblical Festivals, which help keep us in a rhythm of remembering and rehearsing His Story.

Sunday Celebration

Sunday Celebration

We call our Sunday services (9:30am at FCC Hall) ‘Celebrations’ because we are coming together to celebrate Jesus Christ. We do this through singing songs of worship, praying and listening to teaching from the Bible.

Usually, it looks like this: A live band leads us in singing and praying together. Each week we share the Feast of Jesus (bread and juice) to remember the death, resurrection and future return of Jesus. This is followed by a few announcements and an opportunity to take your children (ages 0-11) out to one of our programs:

  • 0-3yo

  • New Life Kids Lower (Kindy – Year 2)

  • New Life Kids Upper (Year 3-6)

All of our carers in our kids programs have up-to-date Working With Children Clearances. Parents sign children in using an app on one of our laptops.

We then hear from someone who will teach from the Bible about God and living in response to God (usually 30-40 minutes). Often we will respond to what has been taught by singing or praying together, before breaking for coffee and tea to finish our time together.

You’re welcome to come and fully participate or just sit and observe. If it's your first time ever visiting a church, feel free to ask any questions you might have (you can also visit our page Curious About Jesus?). Our First Impressions Team are available when you arrive and are happy to assist you and answer any questions you might have.
