May 1-21 Prayer & Fasting - Send the labourers
Matthew 9:36-38
New Life Church, together with believers around the world, are engaging in a season of prayer and fasting from May 1-21, 2026. The focus of our prayers stems from understanding Jesus’ exhortation in Matthew 9:36-38. We are asking the ‘Lord of the Harvest’ to send labourers into the harvest fields of Israel. We are extending this to include the Middle East.
We understand that this is a critical moment to partner with what God has promised to do for the people and land of Israel particularly. We invite you to join us in praying the following daily prayer:
Daily Prayer
LORD of the Harvest and Jesus Christ our King,

Your heart overflows with compassion for the lost. Knowing this, I come before You—confident in Your mercy and humbled by Your majesty.
​
Scripture records that there was an occasion when You looked upon Israel with great compassion and said: “The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the Harvest to send out labourers into his harvest.”
In this remarkable moment of history, I raise my voice together with many believers in the earth who recognise the unique season that is on the horizon. Lord of the Harvest, we pray earnestly that you would send labourers into the harvest fields of Israel and the Middle East. Let the gospel go forth with wisdom, love, and demonstrations of power.

Look with mercy upon Israel. Your people are like sheep without a shepherd. May Your kindness lead them to repentance and Your forgiveness and cleansing fill them with hope and healing. Let their salvation blaze like a burning torch, and their righteousness shine like the brilliance of the sun.

Act for the honour of Your Name, for You are the great and awesome God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love You and keep Your commandments. As You did at Pentecost, and for the sake of Your covenant, pour out Your Holy Spirit once more and awaken Your people with love and power.

Forgive the apathy and indifference that so easily settles on me. Enlarge my heart each day with Your love, so that I can feel what You feel for the lost and pray earnestly for the things that are on Your heart. Make me a person of wisdom and understanding; bless my family with wholehearted devotion and perseverance, so that we burn with Your jealous love for the salvation of Israel until You return.

Advance Your Kingdom in this generation. Send many labourers into the harvest fields. Bring forth a great harvest of souls in Israel, the Middle East, and across the world—for Your glory and for the sake of Your Name.
